Think of someone else’s gain, before your own loss.
I miss dancing.
Can you die from not dancing?
I’m pretty sure I’m going to die.
I love good food… and I’ve certainly indulged this week. The Blue Goose for mexican, The Cheesecake Factory for over the top, La Madeleine a little french balance. And the Marble Slab Creamery with Sweet Cream and Strawberries, oh divine! Tonight we dined at Lucille’s Stateside Bistro and Wednesday we’ll be heading to Joe T. Garcia’s to dine once again al fresco.
Have I mentioned I love food?
“I know it’s true… I saw it on SouthPark.”
“you can make a comic strip all about me and my mis-adventures. kinda like a daria episode with better clothes.”
In describing Saddam Hussein as a “man who has delayed and denied and deceived the world,” President Bush was somewhat flubbed in a comment elaborating on that point…
“There is an old saying in Tennessee. I know it’s in Texas. They say, ‘Fool me once, shame on long pause of absolute silence you.’ You can fool me, but you can’t get fooled again.” – President George W. Bush, September 18, 2002
The old saying actually goes: “Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.”
Friends are a safety net valuable to have. Friends are there to diffuse your thoughts before you blow over in steam. Friends make you stop and think before you do something stupid. Friends allow you to vent, and then show you a new perspective, a different way of looking at things.
I miss having my safety net.
I just really can’t stand how vulgar people have become lately. Statements like “he sucks dick”, which is to say “he has no clue as to what he is doing”. Or the ad made in jest “You win the prize: A 12″ Deluxe Black Rubber Cock” of which “9 out of 10 drunk sluts agree Acme brand rubber cocks are tops!”
It’s really hard to feel like a lady anymore. If this is what it is to be one of the guys, then I don’t want to be “one of the guys”.
… Did you know that i learned a lot from you in our brief time together. I learned to try to not be so negative and cynical. I learned that I need to take hard looks at myself every now and then to see if there are areas for improvement. I learned that it is good to see yourself through other people’s eyes.
I am still butting my head against the brick walls around here. Don’t hang your head in defeat! You can do anything you want! You will find a good place to be – just make it happen! You always seem to be able to make things go your way…
