Sing to me, baby!

This song popped up in my que, and I just remember how much I love it. The music just swings in a swanky jazz beat with her unique voice. I had to follow it up with my favorite from Norah Jones… Turn Me On. On a side note, I heard Sarah McLachlan was going to be playing a small show at a cozy new local venue in January. Must. Get. Tickets.

Natalie Merchant – One Fine Day
One fine day, you’ll look at me
And you will know our love was, meant to be
One fine day, you’re gonna want me for your girl

The arms I long for, will open wide
And you’ll be proud to have me, right by your side
One fine day, you’re gonna want me for your girl

Though I know you’re the kind of boy
Who only wants to run around
I’ll keep waiting, and, someday darling
You’ll come to me when you want to settle down

One fine day, we’ll meet once more
And then you’ll want the love you threw away before
One fine day, you’re gonna want me for your girl

Norah Jones – Turn Me On

Like a flower
Waiting to bloom
Like a lightbulb
In a dark room
I’m just sitting here waiting for you
To come on home and turn me on

Like the desert waiting for the rain
Like a school kid waiting for the spring
Im just sitting here waiting for you
To come on home and turn me on

My poor heart
It’s been so dark
Since you’ve been gone
After all you’re the one who turns me off
You’re the only one who can turn me back on

My hi-fi is waiting for a new tune
My glass is waiting for some fresh ice cubes
I’m just sitting here waiting for you
To come on home and turn me on
