So without much thought I ripped most of my favorite CD’s to my harddrive at work using Windows Media Player. It’s great, I listen to whatever passes my fancy without having to carry my CD’s back and forth to work and home.
What’s the problem? Well I also have a few .m4a files. They don’t play in WMP, so I went and downloaded iTunes. I love the interface and features, although has a slight learning curve if you’ve never used it before. BUT it doesn’t play .wma files.
So I have two songs that play only in iTunes, and tons of songs that won’t play in iTunes, only in WMA. Why can’t they play nicely?
And why couldn’t I have just ripped all my songs as mp3’s to begin with?
