I guess you can see where my passion is, and I feel sorry for the others in my life that have been feeling neglected!

With that in mind, I’m hoping you can all make it to my party. It’s my chance to say thanks for hanging on and loving me, even when I’ve gone dark. My house and my SD pals are open for slumber parties for out-of-towners, so book your @virginamerica flight, you’ve got no excuse!

It’s shaping up to be all the coolness I was hoping for. It’s crazy, it might not be far off from basically being SxSW at the Beach. How cool is that? Music, local breweries sponsoring tastings, and some of the best experiences I’ve loved living in San Diego thus far. And it’s all centered around all my amazing friends who are in town for An Event Apart San Diego 2010.

Hope you can come!

Apparently Jonathan’s mom found his face on the internet, and alerted him to his new found fame. I guess he’s always known he’d be a star, but I have to say I’m giddy, a little shaky even. It took me a couple minutes to even settle down and read the text. I’m just now getting to that now…

I guess maybe it’s a good thing that they think it’s going to be just the same, I mean we’re hard at work trying to nail down the implementation of the new feature experiences… is it a case of “under promise and over deliver”? Always look on the bright side…

…But still, “Otherwise, it’ll work the same.”… uh, that hurt a little. I don’t really make things pretty, I make things work. (I did design it, but that’s not the point.) Oh well!

Voxox. It’s what I’ve been up to…

Sometime in January of this year I decided to stop chilling out and get to work on whatever I deemed cool enough to be my next project (what normal people refer to as get a job).

I thought I was going to go work for this really cool brand name which happens to be on my beautiful 52″ flat screen HDTV that sits in my living room, but I got interested in this little company that “nobody has ever heard of”. Could I do it? I mean, my resume has become bit of an unintentional ego trip. I feel in love with the people, and they had the guts of something I thought was for real.

That’s Voxox.

We’ve re-aligned and I’ve redesigned the experience. It’s coming out soon, and you can request a private invite to the sneak peek. (Hint, using my link below you’ll get in!)

It was hard work to get to what we’re releasing soon, but frankly I’ve gotta say (and I know it’s cliche, but) that’s just the beginning… I’m even more excited about what you can’t see yet. You know what it’s like to be a “talker” and having to keep your mouth shut? Oh, it’s torture!

In any case, sign up for an invite (use this link and you’ll get in to the preview for sure) and share with whoever you want. It’ll release soon, and we’ll be following up fast and hard with updates that continue to roll out my user experience.

Tweet it, Facebook it, just make sure it’s this one: http://bit.ly/dxvPav

Once you get the preview, if you love it tell everyone! And if you don’t, tell me: voxox ux feedback – at – telcentris . com goes to straight to me. There’s lot of work to do, so I hope I’m hearing from you! :)

Cheers!
@ang

P.S. Tim’s tweet: Looks like he liked it even before I started designing the experience! :)

Sync your Mac Address Book with Google Sync

Sync your Mac iCal with Google Sync

Are you a PC?

Sorry hon, but this post isn’t for you, but go check out O2g to sync Microsoft Outlook or Palm to Google and Google Sync to sync to your phone.

Google Sync for your iPhone

If you haven’t already, be sure to read Google Sync for your iPhone.

Mac Address Book & Google Contacts Sync

You can sync contacts in your Mac Address Book with your Google Contacts.

If you sync your address book with multiple Mac computers, use just one of those computers to sync with Google Contacts. You can’t sync contacts from an Exchange 2007 or Mac OS X Server account with Google Contacts.

Choose Address Book > Preferences, click Accounts, choose On My Mac in your list of accounts, and then click Account Information.

Select the “Synchronize with Google” checkbox.

Read the advisory information and then click Agree to continue.

Enter your Google Account information (such as yourusername@gmail.com or, for Google Apps customers, yourusername@yourcompanyname.com) and password, and then click OK.

You can sync only one Google account.

When the account name and password you entered are confirmed, the dialog disappears. You can close Address Book preferences now if you want.

To do a manual sync, click the Sync menu in the menu bar and choose Sync Now.

To add the Sync menu to the menu bar, open iSync, choose iSync > Preferences, and then select “Show status in menu bar.”

If you change your Google account name or password, click the Configure button to use the new account name or password to sync your contact information.

If lots of changes are detected during syncing, an alert is displayed and you can choose to continue or cancel the sync.

Read more information on Google Sync for Contacts.

iCal & Google Calendar Sync

You can set up your Google calendar as a calendar account in iCal. Then you can use iCal to access and manage your Google Calendar.

To set up a Google Account in iCal:

Choose iCal > Preferences and click Accounts.

To add a new account, click the Add (+) button in the lower-left corner.

Enter your Google email address and password, and then click Create.

How to Sync Multiple Calendars

If you’d like to enable multiple calendars to sync from your Google Account, follow these steps:

Open Safari on your iPhone and go to http://m.google.com/sync.

Sign in with your account and select your iPhone to configure Calendars.

If you use Google Apps, follow these steps:

Open Safari on your iPhone and go to http://m.google.com.

Click on Google Apps user? at the bottom of the screen.

Enter your domain name (e.g., YourDomain.com).

Click the Sync icon in your domain area (this section has a green background). Sign in if required.

Select your iPhone to configure Calendars.
